Thank you for considering to volunteer for ‘Adventure Camp’ 2020!

‘Adventure Camp 2020’ will be running Monday 3rd – Saturday 8th August.  This will be a residential camp for approximately 100, 9 – 14 year olds from both ‘churched’ and ‘unchurched’ backgrounds. Its focus will be outreach, discipleship and life skills, with all the usual excitement and adventure activities.

What to expect

By joining us this summer you will have the opportunity to serve the children of Albania. You will be part of a hard-working and dedicated team of people who want to see these children enjoy exciting, fun-filled weeks full of adventure, bible studies and a having a great time with each other and God. Our aim is to match your gifts and experience with the needs of the camp, so that we all get the most out of time. Tasks will range from helping in the kitchen to leading the various activities, from swimming and sports to arts and crafts etc., there will be a broad range of possibilities for you to be involved with.  You will become tanned and tired! But we know you will be greatly rewarded through seeing the results and the joy you will bring to the children. We will also arrange an Albania excursion on your day-off, to experience even more of our amazing country.

You would need to arrive in Albania on Saturday 1st August, and depart from mid-afternoon Saturday 8th August or to the following afternoon. (*see below dates if travelling over land)

The food and accommodation for the weeks of camp, including in county transport will be approximately £165.  Once all the camp arrangements are finalised we will be able to give you the exact price.

Other costs are: A small sum of spending money. You will need to arrange your own flights to Tirana, and provide your own travel/medical insurance. (Please wait for us to confirm your application before booking flights).

*Note: because flight prices appear high this year we are investigating the possibility of an overland travel arrangement – we will keep you posted and if you know anyone with a reliable 16-seater mini bus that might be available from Thursday 30th July to Monday 10th August we’d love to hear from you!
